The Global Village at Calvin Camp and Conference Center is is a joint project of PATH and Calvin Center. The Village consists of houses representative of those in Haiti, Nicaragua, Kenya and Palestine as well as a “barrio” and a refugee camp, fishpond and agricultural area. Construction on most of the houses has been accomplished through church volunteer groups. Summer campers and church groups live and work in the village with all the limitations poor people in these countries have to cope with everyday. Through the Villlage experience participants learn about the systemic causes of hunger around the world. Church groups can also use the Village experience to prepare for mission trips.
Your Global Village experience is customized to meet the needs of your group size, age level and length of stay. Come for a tour or stay for as short as a day or as long as a week.
